Henry and Jacy's Oakhurst Baptist Wedding

Jacy and Henry’s wedding started off with a first look at Agnes Scott College, Jacy’s alma mater. After a quick portrait session with the entire wedding party, everyone fled the heat and headed to Oakhurst Baptist Church.

Once at the church, Henry and his crew waited for the ceremony in the church library while Jacy and her crew waited in the church’s parlor, what used to be home to the Love sunday school class.

Jacy couldn’t find her vows, which led to several minutes of dismay, evidenced by Jacy holding her hand to her head. Finally someone printed the vows out for her bringing the stress level in the room down dramatically.

The ceremony itself was heartwarming and funny … and not very long. :)

I’ve been enjoying myself the last few weeks designing and redesigning Ashley and Marley’s wedding album. I’m delighted to report that they’ve asked me to add two extra spreads.

Now all they have to do is choose a cover — linen, velvet or leather (171 materials) — color of cover — debossed, cameo or photo strip — box, slipcase or custom box. Design for the debossing or photo for the cameo or photo strip. Slipcase design or custom box design.

Greg and Ada's Wedding Album

After every wedding I photograph, I look forward to designing a wedding album from the storytelling moments of a couple’s big day. The design process, from choosing which photographs to include in the book to laying the photos out in a meaningful order, culminates with the approval from the couple and an order sent to a book company.

Then everyone waits with anticipation for the final product … the album itself.

Right now, I am waiting with Greg and Ada for Vision Art to print and bind their book. Here’s what the cover and a few of their layouts will look like.

Ada and Greg's Holy Trinity Parish Episcopal Wedding

Ada and Greg’s simple and elegant wedding took place at Holy Trinity Parish Episcopal Church in Decatur, Georgia. The Rev. Greg Tallant officiated and relatives and friends came out in force to celebrate and show their support for the couple.

The service included prayers, hymns and a homily about how the love in a marriage gives us a tiny glimpse into the depth of God’s love for all.

The wedding ceremony was followed by a reception with shrimp cocktail, black pea hummus and tiny tacos, among other foods, in the church’s fellowship hall. The couple cut a cake, which they refrained from smashing into each other’s face.

Relatives, including the two flower girls, decorated Greg’s car while the couple greeted guests in the fellowship hall. The couple exited the church to a flurry of bubbles.

Gay Wedding at the Ott Farm and Winery in Ellijay, Georgia

Two handsome grooms in tan suits and navy shirts with two adorable dogs and a beautiful wedding party … all at Ott Farms and Vineyards in the gorgeous North Georgia mountains … what more could you asked for?

Patrick and Vincent planned the perfect wedding while COVID still raged around the world in hopes that the pandemic would wane by their wedding date. Thankfully, their hopes were fulfilled. No one in attendance felt the need to wear masks. The only threat from breathing was a little pollen in the air. :)

Buster and Lady, Vincent and Patrick’s beloved pups, took the day in stride enjoying pets and kisses from many admirers.

And to top off the events of the day, Vincent’s cousin Gigi wowed the crowd with her drag performance during the reception that followed that night.
